Survey Incentive: BPS Books for Psychology Undergraduates
Terms and Conditions

The prize draw is open to all current psychology undergraduate students who are UK residents and aged 18 years or over, except employees of The British Psychological Society (the "Promoter"), their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.

The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

All entries must be submitted via the British Psychological Society online survey: Books for Psychology Undergraduates. Only one entry per person is permitted. In order to be eligible to win a prize, each entrant must provide a valid email address and submit answers to the survey set out in the online survey: Books for Psychology Undergraduates.

The opening date for entries is 12:00 (midday) on 9th May 2023. The Promoter may delay the opening date if necessary due to unforeseen technical issues. The closing date of the prize draw is 00:00 (midnight) on 4th June 2023. The Promoter may extend the closing date if necessary to ensure there are sufficient entries for a random computer draw to take place. Entries received after this time (as extended, if applicable) will not be valid.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.

A total of four winners will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process by 19th June 2023 ("Draw Date").

Each winner will receive a Routledge voucher which can be redeemed for one Routledge book up to the value of £50.00 RRP of their choice from the online catalogue. The total value of the prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

The winner will be notified by email (using details provided at entry) before 30th June 2023. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter within seven days of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

The Promoter will pass the winner's details on to the Supplier, Routledge. The Supplier will contact the winners by email to claim their prize. Each winner will be able to select one book up to the value of £50.00 RRP of their choice published by Routledge from www.routledge.com. The value of the book cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Prize winners will need to provide the Supplier, Routledge, with the title, author and ISBN of their chosen book, and their name, phone number (for the courier) and postal address for the Supplier to post the winner's chosen book. The Promoter may request that the winner take part in publicity.

The prize for the winners is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.

The prize is supplied by Routledge of Milton Park, Abingdon-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England, UK (the "Supplier"). The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.

The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of prize winners, to anyone who emails [email protected] or writes to The British Psychological Society of St. Andrews House, 48 Princess Road East, Leicester, LE1 7DR (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date stated in condition 4. If you object to your surname or county being published or made available, please contact the Promoter via email on [email protected]. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide information which may include surname and county of any winner to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the Promoter's Privacy Policy. Please see also condition 13 with regard to the announcement of winners.

These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
