Devolved Nations

The British Psychological Society (BPS) is the representative body for psychology and psychologists throughout the UK.

We are committed to providing evidence-based expertise and advice, engaging with devolved administrations, parliamentarians and stakeholders, and promoting the highest standards in learning and teaching, professional practice and research.

The BPS is a registered charity with a total membership of over 60,000.

Our Northern Ireland Branch is representative of just under 3000 members living on the island of Ireland, almost evenly split 50/50 between Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

Our Scottish Branch represents over 3500 members in Scotland.

The Welsh Branch of the society has some 1600 members who are distributed widely across Wales.
