The British Psychological Society (BPS) is launching a new initiative that aims to support psychology students by offering funding to attend events and training.
The society aims to make the psychological professions and psychology accessible to as many as possible, and as part of this aim, the new Student Committee Bursary Scheme offers psychology students the chance to apply for up to £150 to attend a BPS conference or event.
Anyone applying to the scheme must be a student member of the British Psychological Society and must also meet one of the below criteria:
- Be the first person in their family to attend university
- Living in a low participation area (where fewer people typically go to university)
- A care leaver or estranged student
- A student with a disability
- From an ethnic minority background
- An asylum seeker
There is no deadline to apply for funding through the scheme, but as funding is awarded on a first-come first-served basis, early applications are advised.
Visit the Student Committee Bursary Scheme webpage for more information and how to apply.
