Katherine Carpenter has been elected as President, and takes up her position immediately.

Katherine said:

"I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me. I'd also like to thank my fellow candidates Carl Harris and Peter Branney, because I know they care as passionately as I do about the psychology professions and getting things right.

I want the BPS to be responsive, impactful and relevant, so that the more newly qualified, undergraduates, the under-represented all feel that it can be their home for the rest of their professional lives."

Nicky Hayes has been elected as President-Elect for 2021/22, and will become President at the society's next AGM in 2022.

An election also took place for an ordinary member of the Research Board to serve a two-year term until 2023 – Jackie Greatorex has been elected to this role.
