Expressions of interest to take part in the 2025 event – on Saturday 5 July – to celebrate the LGBT+ community are now open.

For the fourth year, the BPS will march in Pride in London in support of equality, diversity and inclusion.

This year the theme of BPS participation is Unity, and the society is asking parade participants to celebrate the role of psychology in bringing people together.

Kate Russell, chair of the Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) Section, said:

"Pride has always been a place to celebrate diversity and show allyship across the LGBTQ+ community. Now more than ever, we need spaces to embrace difference and show a commitment to inclusion and support for all.

"I will be there to show how the GSRD Section and the wider BPS can be there to connect with and support Pride's aspirations."

Adam Jowett, chair of the BPS's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Board, added:

"As psychologists, we understand the importance of belonging and visibility. Marching together under the banner of Unity reflects our shared commitment to inclusion, compassion, and the psychological wellbeing of the LGBT+ community."

To take part in the society's delegation, you will need to apply for a wrist band by emailing [email protected]. This year you have the choice of one wristband or two wristbands for you and a friend, colleague, or partner. All delegation members must be aged over 16.

Please include the following information in your email:

Your name | Your membership number | The name of an accompanying friend, colleague or partner (if applicable) and confirmation that they are over 16 | Your contact details (phone number and email address).

If you have any questions prior to the event, please email the inclusion team. Full details of the day will be sent to you with confirmation of your place in the BPS delegation.
