DOP Special General Meeting: Call for nominations - Chair Elect

​BPS Division of Occupational Psychology - DOP Chair Elect role, come and see session, June 2023

The SGM will take place at 12:30pm via Zoom.

The SGM has two resolutions:

  • to elect a Chair-Elect of the Division of Occupational Psychology
  • to extend the current Chair's tenure for another year concurrent with the chair-elect year to support them and allow for a smooth succession into the role of Chair

Applying for the role

The tenure of Chair Elect is 4 years: 1 year elect, 2 years chair, 1 year past chair.

If you are a full member of the DOP and are interested in putting yourself forward for the position of Chair Elect, please submit your statement of interest for here.

 The deadline for submitting your nomination is 12 noon on Tuesday 04 July 2023.

 Any nominations received after the deadline will not be acknowledged at the SGM.

Eligibility

We welcome all full DOP members to apply. 

We actively encourage applications from members of diverse backgrounds and support is available for all those interested in the role.

Information about the role

This is a senior leadership role and one that is critically important for the delivery of the division's mission on behalf of DOP members.

The chair elect will draw upon their leadership and other strengths in this strategic role, taking a proactive approach, assuring good governance, representing the interests of the DOP, working with colleagues from across the society, and inspiring the DOP committee to operate in a collegial fashion.

Mentoring will be available.

A 'come and see' information session will be held on Zoom at 11 am on Tuesday 20th June where a realistic overview will be shared.
