Representatives of our member networks met at BPS Senate last week, and voted for the Society’s campaigning priority for the next year to be on tackling poverty.
Three proposals were presented at Senate, having been shortlisted by an all-member vote, and it was the one titled ‘From poverty to flourishing’ which proved to be the most popular.
Members had seen presentations on this campaign, as well as ones focusing on age inequality and prevention.
We will be advertising for members of an expert reference group to take this priority forward, and we hope that it will have the same impact as last year’s campaign on ‘The mental health and psychological wellbeing of children and young people’.
