Social Psychology Section

The Social Psychology Section was founded in 1940 and is now a thriving community of social psychologists. It receives financial support from the society and it is represented on major BPS committees and at BPS conferences.

Your committee needs you!

Drop in and join our informal 'meet the committee' event on Monday 11 July at 12.00pm to find out how you can get involved in supporting your committee.

We are seeking new members to join our friendly committee and have a number of interesting roles you could get involved with. The work of the section is largely achieved through the dedication of its wonderful volunteers and we really do need new people to step forward and help out.

If you are a social psychologist (broadly defined), please come along to our informal event where you can ask questions about what being on the committee entails, and what we hope to achieve together.

Our volunteers come from a wide range of different backgrounds, whether they be practitioners or academics, full members or in-training members. It's a brilliant way to acquire new skills, network with other psychologists, be the first to hear about new developments and opportunities, as well as giving something back to the profession.

We hope to see you there,

- your Social Psychology Section committee
