Guidance on the use of cognitive strategies for improving performance, and the role of exercise in improving cognitive skills, decision making and creative thinking.

17 January 1997

This is the fourth volume in a series of workshop proceedings published by the British Psychological Society's Sport and Exercise Psychology Section. Topics focused around cognitive enhancement in sport and exercise and included the use of cognitive strategies for improving performance, and the role of exercise in improving cognitive skills, decision making and creative thinking. The proceedings show a mix of tried and tested procedures including both qualitative and quantitative approaches to cognitive enhancement, laboratory-based studies of motor skills, and emotional control strategies for both groups and individuals.
