Online workshop
DCP Faculty of the Psychology of Older People

This event is hosted by Anna Crabtree and Catriona Craig, the joint editors of the Faculty for the Psychology of Older People Bulletin.

Anna and Catriona will be talking about writing for publication and the different aspects that together make up a good paper, including (but not limited to):

  • considering your audience
  • having a coherent "narrative" through your work
  • BPS style guide dos and don'ts
  • what we look for in the review process

Our hope is that this event will encourage all to consider submitting work for publication in the Bulletin; in doing so, we can stay more connected as a specialism, and learn from one another.

About our speakers

Anna is a clinical psychologist who has always specialised in working with older people since qualifying 17 years ago. Anna currently works as a lecturer and clinical tutor on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at Royal Holloway University of London, where she is enjoying teaching and enthusing a new generation of trainee clinical psychologists about working with older people.

Catriona is a principal clinical psychologist currently working in an older adult CMHT and Memory Service in Buckinghamshire. She also works as a cognitive stimulation therapy trainer and has previously worked in OA inpatient and in palliative care.
