About
The BPS Scottish Branch Postgraduate Research Conference is taking place on Wednesday 24 September 2025 hosted jointly by the Open University and the University of the Highlands & Islands.
The conference will be held at:
- Perth Theatre, Mill Street, Perth, PH1 5HZ
The conference aims to bring together postgraduate students, to share their research and find out about opportunities available following graduation.
This is a great opportunity for postgraduate psychology students to present their work to an external audience, network with staff and students from across different Scottish institutions and discuss how they can use psychology in a range of careers.
This conference will comprise presentations and posters by postgraduate students from all over Scotland. Prizes will be awarded for best abstract, best poster and best presentation.
This conference is open to postgraduate taught (MSc, MSc conversion) and postgraduate research (MRes, PhD, DPsych) psychology students, academics and practitioners and will be held in person.
Submissions are open to all postgraduate students studying at a Scottish University in any area of psychology. Submissions from students currently working on their dissertation projects are encouraged and we welcome work-in-progress posters from students who don't yet have findings to present.
We aim to provide a varied programme representing the diversity of psychological research that will be useful to postgraduate students and to those who work with them.
We know that students work fantastically hard on an exciting range of projects so do take this opportunity to share that work and network with your fellow postgraduate researchers.
We look forward to seeing you at Perth Theatre.
