These reflective spaces do not have a predetermined or set agenda.
Instead, they aim to bring together global majority staff to share in processing race-based experiences, explore the impact of racism and discrimination on ourselves as individuals and communities.
The sessions aim to give attendees a space to understand their experiences and to encourage each other to identify personally relevant acts of self-preservation, based on Audre Lorde's work on self-care as an act of revolution.
Additionally, given we believe social connection is crucial for managing stress the sessions hope to provide a space where experiences of racism and discrimination are not denied or disbelieved, but instead validated and connected with.
The purpose of this connection event is to bring together attendees to provide an opportunity to network, to share ideas and insights.
Due to the two way interactive nature of the event, this event will not be recorded and certificates of attendance will not be issued.
