In recognition that often a one-off training event is not enough to sustain ongoing change, reflective sessions are offered throughout the year.
These sessions last 90 minutes each and are intended for staff who are socialised as White.
The reflective sessions provide a structured ongoing space for reflection, deconstruction of Whiteness, and personal development.
The session is run compassionately in recognition of the different ways our skin colour influences our life experiences with the emphasis of identifying whiteness in ourselves, coming to terms with having un-earned structural advantages, building resilience to manage challenge with the aim of justice for all.
The purpose of this connection event is to bring together attendees to provide an opportunity to network, to share ideas and insights.
Due to the two way interactive nature of the event, this event will not be recorded and certificates of attendance will not be issued.
