Reflective practice is a key need to ensure supervisors reflect on their own practice and impact on supervisees. It allows them to develop best practice in supervision.
The webinar will provide supervisors with the skills and a toolkit for reflective practice in supervision.
Target Audience
This workshop is for anyone supervising on qualifications, peers or in the workplace.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand what reflection is and what reflection practice is
- Be aware of the benefits and issues in reflective practice
- Know how to develop a reflective space
- Understand the tools used to help with reflective practice
Presenter: Dr Gail Steptoe - Warren
Dr Gail Steptoe-Warren is the Head of School for Psychology and is a registered Occupational Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council. Gail is the Head of Supervision for the qualification in occupational psychology and was the Chair for the Supervisor Training Working Group that developed the Supervision Training course. Gail has been a key member of the Occupational Psychology Qualifications Board for over 15 years in a number of roles spanning supervision, assessment and delivery. During this time, Gail has contributed extensively to the development of revised training standards and qualification routes in occupational psychology.
This workshop will be delivered on Zoom via BPS learn. The link will be available on BPS learn 1hr before, the link will also be emailed to everyone who has registered.
