The advantages of mindfulness training for enhancing cognitive and emotional flexibility are becoming increasingly apparent, yet the way in which mindfulness is taught via standardised programs presents barriers to clients with ADHD – the very people who might benefit most.

There is a lack of specific mindfulness teacher training for those working with ADHD, and the adaptations tend to be geared towards groups rather than individual work.

The adaptations needed for clients with ADHD need to take this into account at a deeper level of understanding, and learning about the underlying neurocognitive changes in the ADHD brain and how mindfulness overlaps with these is crucial.

In this webinar, you will learn how to adapt your mindfulness practice with more confidence and feel more able to offer mindfulness that is adapted to the needs of the clients (and without harming). You will also learn how to draw on a neurocognitive model that helps you to adapt in wise and evidence-based ways.

Tamara is an experienced mindfulness trainer, innovator and facilitator. As a clinical psychologist and neuroscientist, she brings a unique perspective to her mindfulness work both in groups and in individual work.

She teaches at graduate level for King's College London, The Alef Trust (John Moore's Liverpool), Imperial Business School Executive Education and several international universities on the topic of mindfulness.

Her main strength is her own neurodiversity and how this, alongside academic and experiential study, has allowed her to find new ways to make mindfulness accessible to individuals who might struggle to learn in the "traditional" or "standard" ways.
