About
Psychological safety is often applied by Occupational Psychologists to help create work environments where people have a shared belief that they can speak up without risk of punishment or humiliation.
It is a well-established driver of high-quality decision making, healthy team dynamics, innovation and effectiveness.
As psychologists, we want to know your considerations when creating a psychologically safe environment and invite you to share your personal experiences.
More broadly, we would like everyone to have the confidence and knowledge to take action to create a psychologically safe workplace.
Finally, we want to engage you in an experiential exercise using compassion focused therapy which involves engaging the threat, drive and soothing systems which have evolved throughout human history to facilitate survival.
The experiential activity can help you to think about how to overcome a challenging workplace situation
