This session considers pragmatic yet realistic techniques drawn from neuroscience, to improve time and task management. We will look at the art of prioritisation,  key quick wins to be well organised at work and the importance of habitual change. In a world of information overload where our brains get very tired we will consider how to work as efficiently as possible enhancing concentration and focus while deceasing distraction.

  • Outline and explain 5 principles for organising time and prioritisation.
  • Explain and put into practice 5 practical, realistic methods of organisation, prioritisation and planning.
  • Reflect on how to change their own habits around task management.
  • Consider how to prevent procrastination and overload.
  • Consider systemic needs to support time and task management.

Presenter: Dr Kate Pearlman - Shaw 

Kate Pearlman-Shaw is the Managing Director of Pearlman-Shaw Consultancy.  She specialises in helping people to change their behaviours. She worked for 18 years as a UK Clinical Psychologist and leader, then for the last 18 years as a leadership development coach and facilitator internationally in private and public sector organisations. Kate has extensive experience running leadership development programmes, coaching teams and individuals, in Board development and as a sought after public speaker.  Since 2019 she has run her own company specialising in the application of psychology to meet organisational and leadership needs. She is a double Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, both as a Coaching Psychologist and a Clinical Psychologist. She is registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council.

This webinar will be delivered on Zoom via BPS learn. The link will be available on BPS learn 1hr before, the link will also be emailed to everyone who  has registered.
