The Division of Counselling Psychology Wales Committee are pleased to announce their 2024 Networking Series and are delighted to host conversations with Owen Hughes, Sarah Butler-Jones and Ruth Crowder. 

These networking sessions will also include a research presentation.

Details of the research presentations will be added to the website in advance of each session.

Research Presentation: Haf Rees

In Conversation with… Ruth Crowder

Ruth Crowder is the Chief Allied Health Professions Advisor in Welsh Government. Her role includes providing advise and expertise on all professional matters relating to the thirteen AHP professions, including psychology. Ruth is an occupational therapist by background.

Her career has spanned work in the NHS, Local Authority Social Services Departments, Higher Education and a UK Professional Body before joining Welsh Government in February 2018. Ruth was a lecturer in Occupational Therapy in Cardiff University for 14 years with a particular focus on practice based learning and professional development.

Immediately prior to taking up her current post, Ruth was the Policy Officer for Wales for The Royal College of Occupational Therapists, where she worked closely with the other AHP Professional Body officers in promoting the vital contribution of the AHP professions in health, housing and social care services.

Ruth has always had a particular interest in the quality and effectiveness of well-integrated multi professional team working to deliver strong outcomes with citizens. She has a M.Sc.(Econ) in Management of Care.
