This is a practitioner lead and focused event relevant to those who are new to CFT and want to find out more as well as those who are more experienced in this area of psychotherapy.

The event aims to explore the application of CFT to forensic settings and cases.

As such we will be discussing issues brought by those attending as well as insights provided by Jon in terms of the challenges and benefits of CFT and where the current research is taking us.

About the speaker

Jon Taylor is a consultant forensic psychologist and psychotherapist.

He has been working to introduce compassion focussed practice into a forensic therapeutic community and into the treatment of men who have been convicted of sexual offences. He also uses CFT to influence staff supervision and support in these settings.

Find out more about Jon's work here.

Adam Mahoney, Chair of DFP Scotland will host the discussion with Jon.

Adam is a lecturer and practitioner in forensic psychology. Further information about Adam Mahoney can be found here.
