About
We invite you to join us at Liverpool Hope University on Wednesday August 27 & Thursday August 28, for a focused event designed to foster discussion and collaboration within the field of cognitive psychology.
The event is dedicated to cultivating a rich exchange of insights into new frontiers of cognitive research and will feature a series of engaging talks, panel discussions and poster presentations.
Themes
Day One of the seminar brings together experts in the field of visual cognition who will be presenting their work on a range of topics. These include visual attention, eye-tracking, face processing, aphantasia, and multisensory integration. The talks cover experimental and applied research and will showcase the importance of visual cognition in a variety of settings. Confirmed speakers so far include Professor Trevor Crawford (Lancaster University), Dr Franziska Hartung (Newcastle University), Dr Cesare Parise (University of Liverpool), and Dr Geoff Cole (University of Essex).
On Day Two, the focus turns to Thinking, Reasoning, and Creativity. Amongst other speakers, attendees will hear from Dr Kathryn Friedlander (University of Buckingham) on creative performance and expertise. On the second day, we will also be hosting a panel discussion on 'Cognitive Psychology in the Online Space'. This will allow for debate regarding the use of online methods and issues such as the use of artificial intelligence.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about recent advances in the field, both theoretically and methodologically. In the afternoons, we will also have an open Poster Session, and we invite attendees to present their work (either in-progress or completed) in any area of cognitive psychology.
We hope you can join us this August at Liverpool Hope University.
