Chair, Psychologist and Digest Editorial Advisory Committee

The deadline for applications is 13 June 2025.

The Psychologist is the official magazine of the British Psychological Society.

Ten print editions are sent to members each year, and there is a significant online presence, incorporating the Research Digest and reaching millions of users each year.

Policies around publication are created by a representative body of British Psychological Society members as the Psychologist and Digest Editorial Advisory Committee.

Adherence to these policies, and editorial performance more broadly, are assessed by the committee in the form of quarterly meetings (both hybrid and an annual in-person).

The Psychologist is all about telling personal, practical and persuasive stories of psychology for both a professional and more public audience.

The Chair of the Committee serves a three-year term, renewable for one further three-year term.

Responsibilities include chairing meetings, advising the editor around complex and contentious issues, and facilitating cross-committee communication.

To apply, submit no more than 1000 words to [email protected], covering why you want to be Chair of the Psychologist and Digest Editorial Advisory Committee, and why you should be.

The deadline for applications is 13 June 2025.

Please note: this role is only open to members of the British Psychological Society.
