About

We hope you will join us at our first post-pandemic in-person conference, where you will enjoy both a diverse set of presentations of papers and posters given by cognitive psychologists from across the globe, symposia on cutting edge topics, and five wonderful keynote speakers, as well as presentations from the Cognitive Section Award and Undergraduate Dissertation prize winners.

Our conference theme “Back to the lab: Back to reality” captures many things: getting back to the lab after Covid, conducting cognitive research that has meaning for everyday life.

The conference theme is amplified by a pre-conference workshop that will introduce some of the latest online solutions for data collection in cognitive research.

In addition, we will have themed symposia. Register soon to get the early bird rates!

The submission portal for abstracts will be open for symposia, oral presentations, and posters at 10am, Monday 16th May 2022.

The submission portal will close at midnight, Wednesday 29th June 2022.

The registration portal for the conference will open at the same time with information on conference registration to be provided.

Brighton is a vibrant and fun city, full of great restaurants and shopping, with wonderful beaches and only a short bus ride to the beautiful South Downs.

The University of Sussex is a magical campus designed by the famous 1960s architect Sir Basil Spence, set in parkland just outside the city of Brighton (10 minutes by bus or train to the centre).

Conference accommodation is provided in new-build ensuite rooms on campus (click here for a video guide to accommodation), or you can find your own accommodation in one of Brighton’s many hotels and AirBnB residences.
