The BPS provides multiple ways for our members to keep their professional knowledge and abilities up-to-date, from workshops and e-learning courses, to our ongoing programme of conferences and events.

We are delighted to launch our new Supervision Skills course.

This course is designed to provide a grounding in the knowledge and skills required in order to supervise.

It is aimed at practitioner psychologists and the wider psychological workforce who would like to develop and enhance their supervisory skills.

The course consists of a set of eLearning modules and two online interactive workshops. Topics covered include:

  • models and frameworks of supervision
  • professional and regulatory frameworks
  • methods, techniques, and responsibilities
  • feedback and evaluation
  • health and well-being

Completion of the course confers eligibility to apply for entry onto the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS), which is designed to recognise Chartered Psychologists with special expertise in supervision.

If you are interested in becoming a supervisor and wish to learn more about the training requirements for the relevant qualification please contact the Qualifications Team
