    Our members are encouraged to use them as a mark of their status, experience, and professionalism.

    For information on how to use the appropriate titles and/or designations in your official correspondence, please select the appropriate membership grade below.  

    Chartered members

    Chartered member designations

    Chartered members are entitled and encouraged to use the designation CPsychol after their name, along with the term ‘Chartered Psychologist’.

    For example:

    • Dr A. Smith CPsychol Chartered Psychologist

    Chartered Psychologist logo

    Chartered members are entitled to use the Chartered Psychologist/s logo, subject to adherence with the principles, regulations and guidance outlined below.

    Graduate members are entitled and encouraged to use the designatory letters MBPsS after their name.

    For example:

    • Mrs A. Smith MBPsS

    Honorary members

    Honorary members are entitled and encouraged to use their respective designations of HonMBPsS (Honorary Life Member) or HonFBPsS (Honorary Fellow), in addition to any other designations they may have.

    For example:

    • Dr. A. Smith CPsychol HonMBPsS Chartered Psychologist

    • Dr. A. Smith CPsychol HonFBPsS FBPsS Chartered Psychologist

    Society Fellows

    Fellows of the society may use the designatory letters FBPsS, in addition to any other designations they may have.

    For example:

    • Dr. A. Smith CPsychol FBPsS Chartered Psychologist

    Associate Fellows

    Associate Fellows of the society may use the designatory letters AFBPsS, in addition to any other designations they may have.
