(Welsh Government) Draft Curriculum for Wales 2022

17 May 2019

The Welsh Government has been working with education and childcare professionals, and other experts to develop a new approach to the curriculum. New guidance has been developed which will help fund non-maintained settings and schools create a new curriculum for their learners.

This is an excellent opportunity for BPS members, particularly those based in Wales to have their say on the curriculum, particularly in relation to Psychology.

There is a section of the consultation specifically on Health and Well-being which is particularly relevant to us.

The new curriculum will be taught in all funded non-maintained settings and schools up to Year 7 from September 2022. It will then roll out year-by-year until it includes Year 11 by 2026.
