The chair of our Scottish Division of Educational Psychology has welcomed a report on the impact of psychology on children’s lives.
The Education Scotland report, which looks at services across 31 local authorities, finds the quality and expertise of educational psychologists have improved significantly and more services now offer specialist interventions and give training and advice to schools.
Alison Crawford said:
“It’s great to see the work of our members being recognised.
The report says we should make clear our role in closing the poverty-related attainment gap and boosting literacy, numeracy and wellbeing. That is what the SDEP is striving to do.”
