This quality standard covers preventing dementia, and the assessment, management and health and social care support for adults with dementia.

It describes high-quality care in priority areas for improvement and is aimed at commissioners, service providers, health, public health and social care practitioners, and the public.

This quality standard will update the existing quality standards on dementia: support in health and social care (published June 2010) and dementia: independence and wellbeing (published April 2013).
