A new podcast for aspiring clinical psychologists

14 March 2019

Our Division of Clinical Psychology’s Pre-Qualification Group has launched a new podcast, Let’s Get to Clinical, at their annual meeting in Nottingham.

Hosts Mark Guyers and Beth Marsh welcome Professor Val Curran as a guest for the first episode, to discuss a career which has led to her becoming a Professor of Psychopharmacology at University College London.

Further episodes will discuss diversity in clinical psychology, how to approach assistant psychologist interviews, how to reflect properly in interviews and how to make the most out of working in an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies service.

Mark and Beth said:

“We’re really excited to be launching Let’s Get to Clinical, which will be a valuable resource for people just like us, working towards a career in clinical psychology.

The aim is to guide you and ourselves on the journey to qualification.

We hope that people listening will be just as inspired as we were by Professor Val Curran, and we have a number of equally exciting guests lined up for future episodes.

The Pre-Qualification Group exists to support and enrich the journey to becoming a clinical psychologist, and our new podcast is just the latest reason why people should get involved.”

You can listen on Spotify and iTunes. To hear about future episodes first, follow the podcast on Twitter.
