The BPS Member Board has asked a Task and Finish Group of members from across the Member Board, Practice Board and Ethics Committee to draft new rules that are appropriate for members who work in a range of contexts, including academia, practice and in government and corporate environments.
The Group is keen that all members have a chance to contribute to, and thereby feel some ownership of, the new rules, and we would be pleased if you could give us your views on the new drafts.

We have listened to views on our current rules and we have taken these on board to make changes that are intended to improve simplicity, transparency, and fairness.
We have sought to make the rules more accessible and we have added clarity on the differences between the role of the BPS as a professional body and learned society, and the role of the HCPC as the statutory regulator for Practitioner Psychologists.
The intention is that the rules express our shared expectations across our members’ varied contexts.
