Inaugural BPS East Midlands Branch conference to take place in September

21 June 2017

The East Midlands Branch of the British Psychological Society (BPS) will be holding their first ever conference on psychology in the region at the University of Derby.

Under the banner of 'Psychology Presence in the Midlands', the conference will aim to promote and recognise the breadth of psychology disciplines, as well as the teaching, research, and practical elements that contribute to them.

Keynote presentations will be given by social and forensic psychologist Professor Belinda Winder and health psychologist Professor David Sheffield.

The BPS East Midlands Branch currently represents members of the BPS living or working in Lincoln, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Northampton and Milton Keynes. However, they would also like to welcome psychologists, trainees, and students, as well as the general public, from the East Midlands region and beyond to join for a day which aims to celebrate the diversity of psychology in the area.

The conference will be held on Wednesday 13 September 2017 at the University of Derby -  whilst the event is free and all are welcome, registration is required, please visit the event page for further information.
