20 July 2021
There’s still time for members to submit their proposals for the 2021-22 Senate priority campaign with the deadline extended to 30 July.
The BPS Senate campaign is a process which allows our members and their representatives to help choose the society’s policy priority for the next year.
If the past year has shown us anything, it’s the fact that psychology has a vital role to play within public life and discourse and we can help shape policy and work to ensure better outcomes for all.
The year-long policy campaign will run alongside other BPS campaigns on key areas of focus for psychology and psychologists.
This year there is a new template to help guide you in your proposal. We want you to describe the issue and what needs to change, there needs to be a clear policy objective (or ask) and you must articulate the contribution psychology can make in terms of evidence, analysis, and experience.
Submissions must come from a member network, (a branch, special group, section or division), and we welcome and encourage cross-network collaboration.
So, if there is an issue you believe we should champion, speak to your relevant chair, gather support and submit a proposal via the online campaign proposal form.
