(Government Equalities Office) Consultation on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

09 August 2019

The BPS would like to hear from members with practical case studies or academic research related to sexual harassment in the workplace.

In particular, we want to hear of any evidence, comments or suggestions members may have on the following areas:

  • Whether a preventative duty could work
  • How employers might be incentivised to prevent sexual harassment
  • Whether, in relation the specific questions, the current measures in the Equality Act are sufficient
  • Any general evidence on interventions that could be considered to address the problem of workplace sexual harassment

There are 15 specific questions (listed on pages 24-25) and members are invited to respond either by answering those questions relevant to them, or by providing general advice and guidance on the topics listed above.
