Psychologists from across the UK are coming together to share their knowledge of wellbeing in education.
‘Wellbeing: Crossing borders’, an event jointly organised by the British Psychological Society’s Division of Educational and Child Psychology (DECP) and the Scottish Division of Educational Psychology (SDEP), will be held in Glasgow on 22 March 2019.
Kirstie Rees, chair of the SDEP’s training committee, says:
“The day has been organised to forge closer links between the DECP and SDEP so the two divisions can share their knowledge of evidence-based practice and individual members can benefit from each other’s expertise.
Wellbeing is a topical concern across the United Kingdom and beyond, and it is an area where educational psychology has much to offer.”
The event will close with a professional dialogue that will reflect on the learning from the day, consider ways in which this can be taken forward and discuss further joint activities to foster links between the divisions.
There will be a selection of workshops and presentations, provided equally by the two divisions, with two keynote addresses:
This event is open to everyone – BPS members can register at a reduced rate.
