We are looking for 18 members with the expertise to drive forward our 2020 policy campaign ‘From poverty to flourishing’.
They will serve on a reference group to advise the campaign, which will call on government to adopt an integrated approach to fighting poverty that takes in health, education and local council services.
It will also make the case for increasing communities’ access to the resources that allow them to flourish.
Our chief executive Sarb Bajwa says:
“'From poverty to flourishing’ was chosen as our next policy priority by the BPS Senate, and it is vital that we maintain this democratic element as it goes forward. So I hope researchers and practitioners from across the society will offer their expertise."
BPS members who want to get involved should send a 500-word statement on their knowledge and experience, along with examples of relevant research or practice, to George Wilkinson in the society’s policy team by 9 December.
