Abstract submissions open for BPS Senate

06 June 2019

The BPS Senate process has reopened for 2019, and our member networks have until 8 July to submit a proposal for our key campaigning and policy priority for the year ahead.

The Senate began in 2018 as a way for the society to be more democratic, with representatives of our members both proposing and voting on potential policy priorities through their network representatives.

After feedback on the first year, we are trialling a two-stage process which will see all members of the BPS given a vote to cut the initial proposals down to three, which will then be debated and voted on by network chairs.

Member networks are invited to submit abstracts for consideration by 8 July by emailing our Public Affairs account.

More information on the Senate process, its key dates, and our progress on the children and young people campaign voted for last year, can be found on the dedicated Senate page.
