Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) RegisterShow content
The Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme was created to provide improved access to evidence-based psychological therapies for people who require the help of mental health services, particularly those presenting with anxiety disorders and depression.
Further information about the IAPT programme and its workforce is available on the NHS website for Improving Access to Psychological Therapies.
Central to the delivery of the programme is the IAPT-trained workforce of psychological therapists, comprising two core roles - Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) and High Intensity Practitioner (HI).
- The PWP part of the register is open to all members who have completed an accredited PWP training course
- The HI part of the register is open to all members who have underaken and completed an accredited HI course

Gender Diversity Specialist Register (GDSR)Show content
The Gender Diversity Specialist Register has been designed to ensure that psychologists who are registered as experts in this field possess all the requisite knowledge and understanding to practice competently and ethically.
The application form (provided below) outlines the necessary criteria which are required in order to join the register.
The GDSR is aimed at Level 3 practitioners, the vast majority of which will be those working within NHS Gender Identity Clinics.

Directory of Voluntary Careers SpeakersShow content
The Directory of Voluntary Careers Speakers (DVCS) lists Society members who are happy to give careers talks to schools and other institutions.
Becoming a Voluntary Careers Speaker is a great way to share your knowledge and personal experience and to help inspire the next generation. It is also a great addition to your CV.
If you choose to attend an event we can provide you with a selection of the Society’s careers materials and other promotional leaflets.
Once you become a Voluntary Careers Speaker your profile will be available to view on the internet by members of the public.
