Scottish Branch

The Branch exists to promote and advance Psychology as a whole, but with particular relevance to policy and practice in Scotland.

The Scottish Branch of the BPS holds regular events and works to keep its members abreast of ongoing news and developments all year round.

Becoming a part of a branch automatically comes with your membership if you live in the UK.

When you join the British Psychological Society, you automatically become a regional member.

The Branch has a membership announcement email list to inform members of activities and initiatives that are relevant and specific to our members as well as requests for engagement on topical issues.

Scottish Hubs

The Scottish supports the following Hubs

  • Aberdeen
  • Ayrshire
  • Dumfries
  • Inverness
  • Prestwick
  • Stirling

The aim of these hubs is to run events promoting networking amongst psychologists in a geographical region of the country, cutting across boundaries such as divisions, sections and special interest groups.

Each Hub event is organised locally with support from Scottish Branch as needed to find an appropriate speaker and venue, and collect feedback.

If you and/or a colleague would like to pursue the possibility of holding a HUB event, please send an email to [email protected]
