We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join our Finance team in a period of change and transition.

You will be part of a very busy finance team producing deliverables to various stakeholders of the society and working to tight deadlines. The role includes all aspects of management of ledger including producing month end reports and details on individual accounts through to speaking with budget owners on financial performance.

There is ample opportunity to impact and add value to our current processes within in a team that operates critical internal controls to minimise risk.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • To work closely with budget holders to prepare, produce and distribute timely and accurate management information including monthly management accounts, reports, analysis and commentary of key variances for the society, its subsidiary and the member networks.
  • To prepare insightful forecasts and detailed budgets, and provide support and information for strategic decision making.
  • To take ownership of and be accountable for the financial elements allocated ensuring processes are robust, financial information is up to date and clear and adhering to accounting standards and best practice.

Key requirements for the post are;

  • Fully qualified accountant or qualified by experience (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experienced in month end accounts, variance analysis and reporting
  • Able to work in a fast paced, changing environment which is deadline driven
  • Experienced Finance Business Partner
  • Able to automate and simplify manual processes through proficient use of excel and reporting tools such as Power BI
