Registration deadline: 12 March
This event will be a meeting for the Yorkshire and Humber Geographical Group for the Faculty for the Psychology of Older People.
The event is a joint venture between the Faculty for the Psychology of Older People and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber Foundation Trust who have kindly agreed to host the event.
The aim of the half day is to re-establish the Yorkshire and Humber Geographical Group.
The event will be split into two sections: the first will be a meeting for Yorkshire and Humber Geographical Group members in order to establish what they wish to gain from a Yorkshire and Humber Geographical Group. This will take place between 12:30 and 13:30.
From 13:30, we are fortunate to have Professor Rik Cheston, Professor of Mental Health Research (Dementia) attending to deliver a workshop in the new LivDem post-diagnostic group for individuals living with dementia.
The LivDem course has been designed to help people adjust to their diagnosis of dementia and think about the emotional impact of the diagnosis and think about plans for the future.
This training is aimed at psychologists working with people with dementia who wish to provide post diagnostic groups.
See the programme tab for more information.
