The aim of this DON CPD day is to focus on key clinical issues in stroke rehabilitation for those new to working in acute stroke settings or those who require a refresher – the context will largely focus on ward-based working with overlap into community settings.
We will first look at the neurology of stroke, neuropsychological syndromes and neuropsychiatric issues. We will then consider some of the other areas that are common to stroke work: mental capacity, couple and family working and living well with stroke. Finally we will review the developing national context for stroke services. We are lucky to have secured a range of experts in their field and so this promises to be an highly informative day.
Convened by Dr Najma Khan-Bourne
