Optimal performance has arisen from an evolutionary requirement for us to outperform competitors and thrive. An increasingly competitive global market, and, a huge shift towards a knowledge-based economy, have both increased the importance of competing in today’s society.

From a variety of psychological perspectives of wellbeing, the workshop will share techniques to improve your (and your clients’) ability to problem-solve, innovate, live longer, become more resilient, and live happier lives. Wellbeing is the central tool to flourishing in the 21st century and in this talk you will discover the techniques to maximise your and your clients’ potential.

Sean O’Connell’s interests in optimal performance began during his professional rugby career, with a personal desire to perform better. After his playing career was curtailed by injury, he transitioned into coaching, allowing him to deepen his understanding of performance, through a first class BA (Hons) in Leadership and Management, and a distinction level MSc in Psychology. Sean runs a performance consultancy, working with elite level athletes and businesses to enable them to achieve optimal performance.
