This three hour workshop will give postgraduate psychology students in the East of England the opportunity to find out more about doctorate and post-doctorate research funding, including what funding is available, how to apply for it, and what to expect.
You will gain vital skills in research funding and it will be a great opportunity to network with other postgraduate students in the region.
As well this you will be able to ask questions and seek guidance on the funding process for three experts.
Refreshments will be available.
Anglia Ruskin University
The workshop will be delivered by funding professionals from the Research and Innovation Development Office at Anglia Ruskin University, Rosalie Burdon (PhD) and Ruth Sandland (Senior Manager).
Ruth has been working in various funding roles for the last 15 years, including Applications Manager at Cambridge University and Senior Funding Manager at Anglia Ruskin University, and has a huge amount of experience in identifying, securing, and costing research funding.
Rosalie achieved her PhD in 2016 from Uppsala University, Sweden, and is currently working as a Research Funding Officer at Anglia Ruskin University.
They will be joined by Dr Dean D’Souza, who is a lecturer in Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University.
Dean received his PhD from Birkbeck University in Cognitive Development in 2014, and since then has received a number of different research grants, including 32.2K from The Waterloo Foundation and £9,900 from the British Academy Small Grants, amongst several others.
