Come and join John Drury, Professor of Social Psychology, and Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange at Sussex University and learn about Psychology’s contribution to lessons from the pandemic.

The core of his research is on the processes of crowd conflict and psychological change in relation to direct action events.

He has played a leading and influential role during the Covid 19 pandemic as a member of the governments Scientific Pandemic Insights Group on Behaviours (SPI-B) and as a member of the behaviour subgroup of Independent SAGE.

He was also a member of two of the British Psychological Society Covid-19 task force working groups (Behavioural Change & Disease Prevention and Community Action & Resilience).

Links to the impressive range of outputs from the BPS for psychologists and members of the public can be found here https://www.bps.org.uk/coronavirus-resources.

This presentation will be followed by light refreshments and networking opportunities, prior to the Branches AGM at 6:00pm (see the Wessex Branch web page for further details).
