The Crisis, Disaster and Trauma Section with support of the Psychobiology Section is pleased to announce a day conference which explores the Psychobiological research relating to Psychological Resilience.

Over the course of the day delegates will have the opportunity to hear from 5 fantastic guest speakers as well as having some networking opportunities.

  • Dr Leach - Research Fellow at Portsmouth University

    Dr John Leach discussing his paper on the brain chemistry changes which can occur when people “give–up” and start to withdraw from the world as they are unable to cope with their life situation. 

  • Dr Thomson - Research Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire

    Dr Gillian Thomson will discuss psychosocial factors in prenatal care.

  • Dr Robinson - Principal Lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire

    Dr Sarita Robinson will discuss the Psychobiology of Self-Care. 

  • Dr Laura Longstaff  - Positive psychology capital (PsyCap)

  • Noreen Tehrani - It's not all in the mind - Police resillience
