Welcome to the 2020 annual conference of the British Psychological Society Northern Ireland Branch 'Promoting Psychological Wellbeing Through Partnerships'.
Our theme focuses on ‘Promoting Psychological Wellbeing Through Partnerships' and to explore this we have two-days packed with workshops, posters, symposia, individual papers and great speakers.
Our keynotes are:
Professor Neil Coulson, University of Nottingham – Understanding the role of online peer support communities in healthcare: what are the ingredients for success?
Dr Paul Chadwick, University College London - Promoting psychological understanding of the causes, consequences and management of obesity.
Dr Jo Yarker, Birbeck University – Navigating mental health and wellbeing at work.
Responding to your feedback we have organised lots of interactive workshops on issues and topics that matter to you. These include:
- An expert witness workshop facilitated by a judge, barrister and clinical psychologist
- Help with qualitative methods with a closer look at the Pictor Technique
- Advice for independent practitioners from the society’s Special Group of Independent Practitioners
Kathryn Scott, society Director of Policy will share top tips from their successful engagements across the UK and how you can get involved.
We also have a range of symposia from the society divisions of health, forensic, occupational and clinical psychology as well as from the Psychology of Women and Equalities Section.
