The year of the child: clinical psychology's role in building futures

As clinical psychologists we work in many different ways that impact on children and young people’s lives: working directly with children and with those who are crucial in their lives, helping to shape their environments, the services available to them, helping to influence policy and undertaking research to enhance our understandings and the effectiveness of how we support children and families.

Clinical psychologists often play an important role in empowering this to happen.
