Essential Knowledge of Meetings of the Experts (Joint Expert Meeting).

The importance of the Experts’ Meeting cannot be overstated.

Cases can potentially be won or lost because of the performance of the expert at these meetings.

This webinar will provide a clear understanding of what is expected of the expert at an experts’ meeting as well as guidance on providing the court with statements of agreement and disagreement.

Target audience

This webinar is intended for HCPC registered practitioner psychologists or those towards the completion of their accredited training.

It is particularly suitable for those considering embarking on practice as an Expert Witness.

Presenter: Dr Susan van Scoyoc CPsychol FBPsS

Susan has acted as an expert witness as an applied psychologist for over fifteen years. She offers training in small group environments to assist psychologist colleagues learn how to present their existing knowledge at its best in legal settings. Susan is a member of the UK Register of Expert Witnesses as well as on the BPS registers for supervision, psychologists specialising in psychotherapy and psychometric testing.

Judge’s comments in family court: Dr Van Scoyoc was clear and compelling in her evidence defending her position that she had carried out sufficient observations of the children in an unbiased way to form a clear opinion. Her presentation and consistency between her live and documentary evidence confirmed her credibility.
