Peer Support is becoming increasingly recognised as an integral part of good mental health care.

These roles can be hugely beneficial for service users, for peer support workers themselves, and in supporting services and professionals to remain person-centred.

However, there can be variation in the way Peer Support is delivered and supported and this can impact the effectiveness of the role as well as the wellbeing of those employed as Peer Support Workers.

This session is co-delivered by Peer Support Workers and Psychologists and uses a conversational format to explore the benefits of peer support, what can make it work well/less well, and how psychologists can help.
