The role of BPS President-Elect

The President-Elect's role is to support the President of the BPS while preparing to assume the position of President once the sitting President's term comes to an end.

The President-Elect is also a member of the Board of Trustees. Trustees provide independent insight and challenge to the society's management and staff, with the intention of ensuring that the society is well led, well run, and delivers maximum value for members and impact in line with the society's Royal Charter.

Under the society's Charter and Statutes, the successful candidate will serve two years as President-Elect, followed by two years as President

How to submit your nomination 

The closing date for receipt of completed nominations is noon on Thursday 21 March 2024.

If you would like to submit a nomination for the role of President-Elect, as well as the required details about yourself and your experience, you will also need to include the name and contact details of two proposers to support your nomination. 

Nominations for President-Elect are via an online process, managed by our partner Mi-Voice.
