Career Development Framework for Practitioner Psychologists Working in Health and Social Care: Task and Finish Group Members
The society is seeking to appoint members to join the this Task and Finish Group.
The purpose of the Task and Finish Group is to develop professional guidance to help promote equality of access to career progression.
The framework is likely to help service leads understand the benefits of recruiting and employing practitioner psychologists at the different A4C bands, and how they can support the expansion and governance of psychological professions and increased access to psychological therapies and interventions in health and social care.
Additionally, the guidance will help inform practitioner psychologists working in health and social care about what is expected in terms of competences and qualifications for different Agenda for Change bandings (or equivalent).
Membership will consist of practising psychologists in health and social care.
Membership of the group will reflect a breadth of expertise from Psychology Heads of Specialty Group, society member networks, Experts by Experience, EDI expert(s), Devolved Nations, trade union(s), and Practitioner Psychologists from different A4C bands and relevant others; to include those experienced in developing preceptorship and/or development post programmes and/or in having undertaken such a programme.
